Dear Friends and Family,

Susan and I would like to let you know what is going on in our relationship. A lot of things have been going on, and what I mean by that is that people are always changing when they are in a relationship. This means that what may have worked before does not necessarily work now. In our case, a few adjustments will allow us to stay together. We still love each other and are committed to each other, but we feel that we should start our relationship out on a clean slate to be able to stay together. This means that I will move out until graduation, but Susan and I will stay together, working on their own individual problems and spending lots of time together. This in the end will make things stronger, and give both of us a sense of independence that we need to figure out where we are at in life. This has nothing to do with anyone other then us, but if you have any concerns or questions, feel free to talk to me about it.

Love,
Emma

RIP Betty Friedan

Betty Friedan has been central to the reshaping of American attitudes toward women's lives and rights. Through decades of social activism, strategic thinking and powerful writing, Friedan is one of contemporary society's most effective leaders. Friedan's l963 book, The Feminine Mystique, detailed the frustrating lives of countless American women who were expected to find fulfillment primarily through the achievements of husbands and children. The book made an enormous impact, triggering a period of change that continues today. Friedan has been central to this evolution for women, through lectures and writing (It Changed My Life: Writings on the Women's Movement in 1976 and The Second Stage in 1981). She was a founder of the National Organization for Women, a convener of the National Women's Political Caucus, and a key leader in the struggle for passage of the Equal Rights Amendment. Friedan published her latest book, The Fountain of Aging in Fall, 1993 and is co-chair of Women, Men and Media, a gender-based research organization that conducts research on gender and the media.

I had no idea that it was possible to accumulate so much goddamn laundry after just a week or so of being out of town.

GOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSHHHHH!!!! Wow, I sounded like my mom. Her new obsession is Napoleon Dynamite. Which isn't entirely weird for her, but she quoted it all New Years. For example, when I pulled up in the car, the first thing she said to me was, " I caught you this delicious Bass". Yeah Mom.

In other news, school doesn't start for a while. I'm trying to be productive, even though it is my natural instinct to sit around eating microwave pretzels, watching Roseanne.

Alright. Back to folding underwear.

Maybe after I get a pretzel.

Well, the holidays are finally over. whew.

I'm finally back in town for at least a while. I spent New Years at my mom's house in the beautiful, yet slightly boring White Mountains. Mostly it involved watching Napoleon Dynamite(my Mother's new obsession) and drinking mimosas. Overall, good.

I thought since it had been a while since I even thought about it, I would make a little list of everything that happened to me in 2005. But, since I have a bad memory, it'll probably lack some detail.

Anyway, things that happened to me in 2005:

1. I finished my senior year of college and started my super senior year.

2. I got accepted into my first young artists program.

3. Because of this, I spent a month in Rome. Like a big girl, I may add.

4. I excercised a lot. But not enough.

5. I started eating red meat again. Mmmmmmmmm.

6. Wyona had a fabulous sweet 16 birthday party.

7. I got three children and lost them all in the same year.

8. The Vagina Mobile died (rest in peace), and I got a new car...a grown up car...the Clitzubishi.

9. I started back at my old phone actress occupation.

10. I ate a lot of tacos.

11. I went on a record two cruises to Mexico(one in January, for Susan's 30th birthday, and one for christmas).

12. I danced a LOT.

13. I recieved NO speeding tickets. YAY!!!!

14. I celebrated my three year anniversary with my beautiful partner. Wheeeee!

15. I ate Middle Eastern food for thanksgiving in protest of whitey.

16. I welcomed three new cats to the family: Birthday Kitty Jordan Knight(or BJ), Driveway Shitter, and Stewetta.

Anyway, that's all I can remember now. I hope the New year will bring me lots of happiness, and happiness for you, too.

Yesterday was Susan and my three year anniversary. Whoa...that's a long time. I am elated, and we had such a good time. We went to Black Angus(anus), and had the yummy food, then we went to Circuit City, where I got my early Hannukah present...a sweet MP3 player. Any recomendations on what to download?????

Seriously people, I want lists.

Anyhow, she made me feel very special. I can't wait to get my broke ass together so I can do the same for her.

In other news, school hell is almost over, and then we will party like it's 1999, except I won't be crazy and getting my boobs on the internet...um...whoohooo!!!

I am really looking forward to vacation. God bless the person who invented cruises.

I had to call my dad for a pep talk today. This is the first time in history that I've ever been desperate enough to call him for his advice, since he historically is pretty full of himself. But letely he seems like a different person. He really says the right things to make me not want to shoot myself or others. And he has been super supportive since I fell into my domestic funk. And he's fun. I guess that's what happens after your kids grow up and you can get shitfaced with them.

My mother, on the other hand, is the one I miss most. I am sad she has to work so much. I wish I was rich so I could buy her a moose to ride. My loyalties are boundless.

In other news, the University is clearly an evil plot sent out to kill me. And I'm hungry. Dammit.

*beep* pasta is ready. Joy!

Things are just spinning around at this point.
I feel like I'm in a giant snow-globe, but instead of snow, it's raining shit.
School is really hard, and this depression I'm having hasn't exactly motivated me to put my heart into anything right now. The only thing that has been saving me has been my family and my wonderful friends. I especially had a good weekend last weekend, and had a blast reconnecting with some of my favorite people. I realised how much I need social interaction to be myself. I forgot how many people I had that care about me, and for that I am blessed. I am also blessed to have my incredible other half, for without her I think I'd probably be face down in a cowpie.

Now if the semester would only be over. Oh well, I gotta go to class, I'm late.
